A word lands on a blacked-out screen. You have twenty seconds to press, pull and turn it into a form using nothing but two fingers — no palette, no preview, no way to check your progress.
When the light returns, your piece joins a gallery wall that's entirely your own. Walk along it, step back to see it whole, or lean in to read the label you never wrote.
The wall strips the labels off your own forms and dares you to match them again. Some you'll know instantly. Others will look like they were made by someone else entirely.
Shape the same word more than once and the app starts building its portrait — how sharp "deadline" gets, how heavy "Sunday" sits. Weeks in, you'll have a dictionary written entirely by your hands.
We're a small studio of designers, writers and one recovering ceramicist who kept noticing the same thing: the moment you stop watching your hands, they start telling the truth. BlindClayGallery grew out of late-night sketches on a tablet with the screen turned off, just to see what would happen.
Our mission is simple and a little stubborn — to build a space where a feeling can be shaped before it's explained. Not every idea has a picture. Sunday doesn't. Your father might not. We wanted a tool that could hold those words anyway, without forcing them into language too early.
What the app gives you is a private practice of making without watching — twenty seconds of blind touch, a wall that remembers every attempt, and a quiet game of forgetting and re-recognising your own forms. Over time it becomes less an app and more a room you visit to see how you're doing.
It matters because so much of how we feel never gets a shape at all — it stays as noise until it's named, filed, and forgotten. We think there's a middle step worth keeping: the shape before the name. Feel your way to it before you explain it.
We collect none. BlindClayGallery does not ask for your name, your email, your location, your device identifiers, or any account credentials, because there is no account to create. Every word prompt, every sculpted shape, and every wall you build stays a private matter between your fingers and your screen.
Since nothing is collected, nothing is used. We don't build behavioural profiles, we don't analyse how long you linger over a word, and we don't sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share anything about you or your sculpting sessions — there is simply nothing on our end to hand over.
Every piece you shape — the form, its timestamp, its label once you've named it — is stored exclusively on your own device, inside the app's local storage. Nothing is mirrored to a server, synced to a cloud account, or transmitted anywhere. Your gallery wall lives where you built it.
BlindClayGallery contains no analytics kits, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting trackers, and no embedded third-party code that could quietly phone home. The app runs as a closed loop between you and your device, exactly as a private sketchbook would.
Because your sculpted forms never travel across a network, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote database to breach. Your work is only ever as exposed as your own device already is, protected by whatever safeguards you've set on it.
BlindClayGallery does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. As no data collection mechanism exists anywhere in the app, it carries no data-collection risk for younger users under COPPA or similar frameworks.
There are no accounts to manage and no servers holding your history, so control sits entirely with you. Deleting the app deletes your gallery wall, your lexicon, and every trace of your sessions — completely and immediately, with nothing left behind on our side.
Should this policy ever change — say, if a future feature altered how the app behaves — we will update the effective date above and describe the change plainly, in the same spirit of straightforwardness this policy was written with.
